Ukrainian Red Cross team provided assistance to people affected by a Russian air attack in Zaporizhzhia yesterday

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region worked at the sites of the strikes alongside first responders and other emergency services.

The team provided first aid, psychological first aid and psychosocial support to people affected by the Russian attack.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was killed as a result of the Russian air attack. The number of injured people rose to 29, including two children. A State Emergency Service canine unit was deployed to search for a person who may have been trapped under the rubble. Emergency rescue operations were ongoing.

The strikes damaged an administrative building, private homes, garages, vehicles and other civilian infrastructure.
