“My strength lies in flowers and a new home”: Tetiana’s story as a Reboot programme participant
Tetiana Bobchenok is originally from Kharkiv but was forced to relocate to Cherkasy because of the war. Long before she moved, she had dreamed of learning the art of floristry — working with flowers, creating floral arrangements, and gaining a deeper understanding of this creative profession.
She was able to fulfil that dream through the Ukrainian Red Cross Reboot programme. After successfully completing the floristry course, she received her certificate.
In her final project, Tetiana not only demonstrated the skills she had gained but also told the story of her two “cities of strength,” as she calls them. Her first arrangement, created using vegetables, was dedicated to Kharkiv — a city that will always hold a special place in her heart. The second, a floral composition, was dedicated to Cherkasy, which has become her new home and inspired her to pursue a new career path and embrace new opportunities.
“I am especially grateful to the course instructor, who shared her expertise and supported us throughout the training. I discovered so many new things, and now I want to continue developing my skills in floristry,” says Tetiana.
