More than 870 cultural sector professionals joined the Ukrainian Red Cross online webinar, Introduction to Psychological First Aid (PFA)

The event was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen support skills among professionals who work with people daily. Participants included staff from libraries, cultural institutions, and arts organisations from across the country.

During the webinar, participants learned about people’s reactions to crisis events, explored the three key action principles — Look. Listen. Link. — and were introduced to approaches for maintaining personal well-being and self-care techniques.

The training was delivered by specialists from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) team of the Ukrainian Red Cross. During the session, participants discussed key topics and reviewed real-life case examples, helping them better understand how to support people in crisis situations.

Cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine helps expand knowledge of Psychological First Aid among professionals who work with people every day — enabling them to provide timely support when it is needed most.
