Driving Simulators, Engine Diagnostics, and Hands-On Practice: Free Training for Future Auto Mechanics Continues in Cherkasy
Short-term vocational training is a key component of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme, helping participants expand their employment opportunities, gain new skills, and acquire the practical experience needed for successful employment.
Another stage of one of the programme’s vocational training tracks is currently underway in Cherkasy at Cherkasy Polytechnic Professional College. Participants enrolled in the auto mechanic course are actively developing practical skills and learning from experienced instructors.
Some of the most engaging and challenging sessions for participants have been the simulator-based classes, which recreate real-life driving conditions and demonstrate how vehicles respond in different situations.
Although the work of an auto mechanic is often physically demanding and involves complex repair tasks, the profession remains one of the most in-demand and well-paid in the labour market.
With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme, course graduates will be able to work as auto mechanics and technicians at service stations and repair centres, diagnose vehicle electronic systems, maintain corporate vehicle fleets, or even start their own businesses.
