Kharkiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked at all locations affected by overnight attacks
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked at all locations affected by the overnight attacks. Volunteers inspected surrounding areas, damaged buildings, and residential homes, and conducted door-to-door checks to identify people in need of assistance. First aid and psychological first aid were provided to affected residents.
A Ukrainian Red Cross support point is currently operating at the scene, where people can receive water, tea or coffee, snacks, and psychosocial support. Based on identified needs, affected residents are also receiving humanitarian assistance, including drinking water, hygiene kits for children and adults, and other essential items.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, four women experienced acute stress reactions and sustained cuts from broken glass as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv overnight on 1 June. The Kharkiv City Council reported that at least 27 buildings were damaged in the Osnovianskyi, Slobidskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts of the city.
