A painting workshop for families of missing persons took place in Khmelnytskyi
On 21 May, a special painting workshop for families of missing persons was held in Khmelnytskyi. The event was organised by a specialist from the Restoring Family Links Service of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The gathering began in a warm and supportive atmosphere, with participants getting to know one another, talking, and offering mutual support. An invited art teacher introduced the participants to the materials and painting techniques, guiding them through the main stages of creating a piece of artwork.
Each participant selected an image with an inspiring wish or warm words of support written on the back. Afterwards, the women shared their impressions, emotions, and reflections.
Under the guidance of a professional artist, the participants created their own paintings, using art as a safe way to express their emotions and experiences.
It was more than just a creative evening. It was a space for sincere conversations, support, warmth, and moments when colours expressed more than words could. Each painting reflected hope, strength, memory, and love.
A special part of the event was an exhibition of paintings by artist Nataliia Shevchuk, which gave participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of art, emotion, and warmth.
We thank everyone who took part, created, and filled this day with light. Even in difficult times, it is important to make space for creativity, warmth, and people who understand without words.
We also express our sincere gratitude to artist Nataliia Shevchuk for her talent, support, and the atmosphere she created for every participant.
