When a love for animals becomes a profession: the first grooming course in Kropyvnytskyi has been completed
In Kropyvnytskyi, the first group of participants has completed a pet grooming course as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme. Four participants received certificates, and the second group began training the very next day.
Among those who took part were people forced to leave their homes by the war, young people seeking professional opportunities, and older participants.
The training was delivered by the Dandy Dog grooming school with the support of the Swiss Red Cross. The programme placed strong emphasis on practical learning, with over 60 hours of hands-on training working with different dog breeds.
“I learned how to properly groom animals, use professional tools, and handle animals safely. The atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable, which made learning easy and enjoyable,” says Anna, one of the course graduates.
Participants are now moving on to their first clients, further developing their skills and turning their knowledge and love for animals into work that brings both income and fulfilment.
