Zaporizhzhia: The Ukrainian Red Cross provides assistance at the sites of the strikes

Throughout the day, the emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zaporizhzhia region has been working at the sites of the strikes alongside other emergency services. Volunteers carried out door-to-door visits and checked surrounding areas to identify those affected, provided first aid to the injured, and delivered psychological first aid to people experiencing acute stress reactions.

Volunteers continue to work at the site of the emergency response operation and remain on standby to provide the necessary assistance to those affected, as well as to support emergency responders in all aspects of their work.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 10 people were killed as a result of the Russian air strike, and a further 18 were injured. One of the injured, who had been rescued from under the rubble, later died in hospital.

Emergency response operations are ongoing.
