The Ukrainian Red Cross responded at the sites of attacks in Mykolaiv and Kharkiv

  • Mykolaiv:

The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Mykolaiv region has been providing assistance at sites where the consequences of ongoing attacks are being addressed. Volunteers are carrying out area checks across all locations to identify injured people; where needed, they provide first aid to those affected and support the work of emergency responders.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, energy infrastructure was targeted in the drone attacks.

  • Kharkiv:

The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Kharkiv region worked at all sites affected by the attack alongside other emergency services. Volunteers carried out area checks of affected neighbourhoods and damaged buildings, provided first aid to those injured, and offered psychological support. Together with representatives of the Kharkiv City Council’s

Department of Emergency Situations, they also attended a damaged petrol station, rescued an operator from a burning building, provided first aid, and handed him over to medical personnel.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, residential areas and petrol stations in various districts of Kharkiv came under attack by Russian drones. Buildings and equipment at two additional petrol stations, as well as vehicles and residential homes, were damaged. It is reported that five people were injured as a result of the attack.
