Тhe Ukrainian Red Cross is promoting social entrepreneurship through the REDpreneurUA project
Today, support for those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, or a sense of normality is more vital than ever. That is why the Ukrainian Red Cross is promoting social entrepreneurship through the REDpreneurUA project. The aim is to ensure that assistance is not a one-off intervention, but instead creates opportunities for people to move forward.
The project focuses on those who face the greatest barriers to employment or self-realisation during the war. This includes internally displaced people, Ukrainians living in difficult circumstances, and communities that can create new jobs to support their residents.
Social entrepreneurship is not about statistics alone — it is about offering a chance for a new beginning. Behind every REDpreneurUA initiative are real people: a mother who lost her home and job because of the war, but who can now once again provide for her child; a veteran or someone facing hardship who, through work, regains a sense of purpose and psychological well-being.
Most importantly, it is about a continuous cycle of support that does not break. We are not simply launching businesses — we are building a foundation that sustains care for those most in need.
Together with partners from the French Red Cross and the Austrian Red Cross, we are investing to ensure that support is always within reach.
