Ukrainian Red Cross Emergency Response Teams Join Large-Scale Command and Staff Exercises in Zakarpattia
Recently, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zakarpattia region took part in specialised training exercises alongside first responders, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, and local authorities. During these exercises, volunteers practised coordination and response procedures in emergency situations.
Participants worked through various scenarios, including responding to the effects of floods, damage caused by attacks, accidents at critical infrastructure, and threats involving hazardous substances. Special attention was given to public alerting, evacuation procedures, operations in affected areas, and coordination between all services.
These exercises help improve response protocols among emergency services, strengthen preparedness for future challenges, and ensure more effective and timely assistance to those who need it most.
