Kharkiv has been under attack for over 24 hours: The Ukrainian Red Cross is responding at nearly all sites affected by the attacks

According to the National Police of Ukraine, five people, including an infant, were injured in overnight strikes targeting the Osnovianskyi, Kyivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Russian forces used drones and missiles, and by morning, carried out further strikes. Several people were injured, and apartment windows were shattered.
At nearly all locations, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region is working alongside other emergency services. Volunteers are surveying affected areas, inspecting damaged buildings and homes, and conducting door-to-door checks to identify those in need. The injured are receiving first aid and psychological support, and volunteers are assisting with search-and-rescue operations.

On 1 April, a UAV struck a four-storey building in Chuhuiv, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The Kharkiv regional team of the Ukrainian Red Cross responded on site, distributing humanitarian aid. Based on assessed needs, volunteers provided OSB boards, tarpaulins, plastic sheeting to cover broken windows, transit kits, hygiene items, and other essential supplies. Children and adults experiencing stress received psychological first aid.
