The first success story from the Reboot online service

Starting a business during wartime requires courage — combined with faith, perseverance, and the support of loved ones. This is the first success story from the online learning component of the Reboot programme. What makes it particularly remarkable is that all engagement with the participant — from training and consultations to ongoing support — was conducted entirely remotely.

Viktoriia Nahorna joined the programme amid the war and decided to pursue her long-held dream: producing natural, wholegrain flour using a stone mill. In August 2025, she officially launched her business and, to strengthen her entrepreneurial skills, completed a two-month online course on the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.

During an exceptionally cold winter and amid power outages, the mill’s motor burned out. Viktoriia and her family adapted by working at night and coordinating with the electricity supply. Thanks to a microgrant from the programme, she was able to expand production by purchasing additional millstones.

Her customer base grew, including several local schools, where children eagerly ate bread made from her wholegrain flour. For Viktoriia, this was the greatest praise and a clear confirmation that her work is valued and has strong potential for further growth.

Today, she continues to grow her business, demonstrating that a remote learning format does not limit opportunities — it opens doors for those willing to take action
