In Poltava, the Ukrainian Red Cross is responding at the site of the attack
At 4 a.m., the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Poltava region deployed to the emergency site. In coordination with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and other agencies, volunteers conducted door-to-door checks to identify affected individuals and provided on-site assistance.
A Ukrainian Red Cross support point is currently operating, where people can receive psychological support, first aid, and hot drinks. Residents of damaged homes can also access humanitarian assistance, including materials for temporary repairs such as plastic sheeting, OSB boards, tarpaulins and sacks.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian strikes on Poltava and the surrounding district caused damage to residential buildings, a hotel and industrial facilities. Fires broke out. Two people were killed, and seven others were injured, including one child.
