Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Shepetivka — a space for support, care, and community development

The Center is an open and accessible space where residents can receive social, psychological, and practical support, as well as take part in educational, health-promoting, and awareness-raising activities. It brings together the various areas of work of the Ukrainian Red Cross, fostering an environment of mutual support and active community engagement.

A wide range of services and activities is available at the Shepetivka Community Center. Key areas of work include:

  • Social counselling — guidance to help residents navigate available services and support programmes.
  • Group activities — spaces for communication, sharing experiences, and mutual support.
  • Mental health and psychosocial support — individual and group activities to promote emotional well-being.
  • Training — including first aid and psychological first aid, as well as mine risk awareness sessions, which help build essential life-saving skills.

In addition, visitors can access an assistive equipment loan service, a hygiene centre, and a social hairdressing service. The Center also implements health promotion and disease prevention initiatives, organises blood donation events, and hosts a mobile health unit, expanding access to basic healthcare services.

The Center welcomes people of all ages: an active longevity club offers activities for older adults, while a dedicated youth space provides opportunities for young people to develop ideas, connect with peers, and participate in community activities.
