A ceremonial event to present certificates to members of volunteer fire brigades who completed training organised by the Ukrainian Red Cross was held in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

A total of 112 volunteers successfully completed 110 hours of training at the Lviv State University of Life Safety of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and received their certificates. The event brought together representatives of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, the central office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Khmelnytskyi region, as well as representatives of the Civil Protection Department and the Khmelnytskyi regional and district branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

As part of the programme, participants also attended information sessions. Oleksandr Hutnyk, a representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, spoke about ensuring fire safety in territorial communities. Vasyl Kudryk, representing Solidarity Fund PL in Ukraine, shared best practices for establishing and operating volunteer fire brigades in Ukraine.

The training for volunteers was organised by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the British Red Cross.
