Secretary General of the Norwegian Red Cross Visits Ukraine

A delegation from the Norwegian Red Cross, led by Secretary General Grete Herlofson, paid a working visit to Ukraine.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the work of Ukrainian Red Cross regional branches and the delivery of humanitarian programmes across the country. These included initiatives in rehabilitation, home-based care, mental health and psychosocial support, and the work of mobile health units and emergency response teams.

The delegation also met with Ukrainian Red Cross teams on the ground to discuss community needs and explore opportunities for further cooperation, with particular attention to supporting veterans, older people, internally displaced persons, and communities affected by the war.

The visit provided an opportunity to see the impact of joint efforts firsthand and to strengthen the partnership, ensuring continued and enhanced support for people across Ukraine.
