Ukrainian Red Cross Responds on the Ground Following Attacks in Kharkiv

Immediately after the strikes on Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team was on site. Volunteers inspected nearby areas and damaged buildings, and carried out door-to-door visits to identify those affected. People received first aid and psychosocial support.

Later, a Ukrainian Red Cross support point was set up, where anyone could have water, tea, or coffee, and access information and psychological assistance.

Based on assessed needs, humanitarian aid was distributed at three locations, including essential and hygiene kits, OSB boards, tarpaulins, plastic sheeting, blankets, water, and other necessary items.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, another Russian strike involving drones and missiles hit the Kharkiv region overnight.
