A Step Towards Recovery: Ukrainian Red Cross Mobile Rehabilitation Unit Joins Regional Physical Therapy Seminar in Rivne
The Second Regional Practical Seminar on Physical Therapy was held at the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital. The event brought together around 150 participants, including physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and physicians specialising in physical and rehabilitation medicine. It served as a platform for professional development and the exchange of experience in physical therapy and evidence-based rehabilitation.
Participants learned about modern approaches to rehabilitation and practical aspects of recovery following strokes, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and lower-limb injuries. One of the speakers was a trainer from the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation unit, who delivered a presentation on “Community-Based Rehabilitation” and shared practical experience working with patients outside hospital settings.
The seminar represented a step towards strengthening inter-organisational collaboration, implementing evidence-based practices, and improving the quality of rehabilitation services in the Rivne region.
