The Reboot programme takes part in the Fighters of Spirit Veterans’ Forum in the Cherkasy region
The team of the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme participated in the Fighters of Spirit Veterans’ Forum, held in the Cherkasy region on the initiative of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration and the Zvenyhorodka District Military Administration. The forum provided a platform for open dialogue between veterans, community representatives, and specialists supporting servicemen and women in their return to active civilian life.
The Reboot team introduced participants to the opportunities offered by the programme and invited veterans to take part in individual training, career guidance, internships, and support in developing or restarting their own businesses.
During the discussions, the team shared examples of successful programme participants, including the story of a veteran who, after a serious injury, founded his own oil production business and expanded it with grant support, and the story of a veteran’s wife who opened a meditation and recovery centre and offers free sessions for military families.
Within the forum, veterans shared personal experiences of adaptation, returning to professional life, and finding inner balance. Their stories highlighted themes of resilience, mutual support, and the role of community in helping people feel needed and valued in new life circumstances.
Participation in such events allows the Reboot programme not only to present its support tools but also to hear directly from veterans and communities — enabling the programme to adapt and increase its impact.
