Humanitarian Support for Residents of Kyiv: Ukrainian Red Cross Delivers Thousands of Aid Items

The situation in Kyiv remains challenging, especially on the left bank, where many residents are without heating or electricity after recent attacks.

Teams from the Ukrainian Red Cross continue to work on the ground to ensure assistance reaches those who need it as quickly as possible. So far, the following items have been distributed: 5,760 blankets, 1,620 sleeping kits, 540 sets of bedding, and 1,620 hygiene kits.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Red Cross is operating heating points where people can receive hot meals and drinks, warm up, charge their mobile devices, and access hygiene supplies.

These heating points are staffed around the clock by Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers and staff. Currently, emergency response team volunteers from the National Committee as well as Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions, alongside staff from the National Committee are actively involved in the response.

The Ukrainian Red Cross will continue providing support to help residents of Kyiv get through this winter in warmth, safety, and with a sense of care and solidarity.
