Ukrainian Red Cross representatives visit the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin

As part of a joint visit of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to Germany, organised with the support of the German Red Cross, the delegation visited the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Berlin. Representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) also participated in the meeting.

During the discussions, Germany’s consistent and multi-dimensional support for Ukrainian state institutions and the Ukrainian Red Cross was emphasised. A significant part of this assistance is delivered by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the German Red Cross, one of its key long-standing partners, particularly in civil protection. Thanks to their expertise, solidarity, and sustained support, the Ukrainian Red Cross is implementing projects that strengthen the resilience of local communities.

With funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German Federal Foreign Office, and thanks to the professionalism, solidarity, and consistent support of German partners, the Ukrainian Red Cross is implementing projects that enhance the capacities of services and communities.

German partners reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening Ukraine’s civil protection system and to expand technical and humanitarian programmes aimed at protecting people in wartime.

We sincerely thank our colleagues for their steadfast and unwavering support, partnership, and humanity, as consistently demonstrated by the German Red Cross, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German Federal Foreign Office.
