VI National Organisational Development Forum of the Regional and Local Ukrainian Red Cross Branches Held in Lviv
Under the slogan “Unity. Experience. Future.”, the VI National Organisational Development Forum of the Ukrainian Red Cross brought together representatives from regional and local branches, as well as the organisation’s partners. The Forum aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience in implementing programmes and activities, discuss challenges and achievements, and outline strategic directions for the organisation’s development.
At the opening, the Director General of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Maksym Dotsenko, delivered a welcoming speech:
“Unity is what makes us a unique organisation, capable of helping people in every corner of Ukraine. Now, in the fourth year of the full-scale war, we can speak of the experience we have gained in implementing our activities, including the programme for developing local branches. This experience will define the future of our organisation. Above all, it is about people. People are the reason we work as a National Committee and the reason the Ukrainian Red Cross exists.”
The Forum’s central theme was the strategic vision for the future of the Ukrainian Red Cross. Participants were presented with the draft Strategy for 2026–2030, and thematic groups discussed the development of volunteer and youth programmes, effective local leadership and management, building public trust, and ensuring financial sustainability. Participants actively shared experiences, showcased successful initiatives, and sought common solutions to further strengthen the organisation’s capacity.
The National Organisational Development Forum brought together leaders and teams shaping the future of the Ukrainian Red Cross in communities across the country and marked a starting point for the organisation’s next stages of development.
