In Lanivtsi, Ternopil region, the Ukrainian Red Cross held sessions to promote healthy lifestyles among children
For fourth-grade students at one of the Lanivtsi schools, an information session on balanced nutrition and a practical session on physical activity were conducted. During the information session, participants learned about the five main food groups that are beneficial for the body. Children also created their own “Healthy Eating Plate” and took part in the game “Healthy or Unhealthy?” The sessions concluded with a short exercise routine to encourage physical activity.
The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Ternopil region with the support of the Norwegian Red Cross. The initiative aims to raise awareness among residents about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and developing positive habits to look after themselves and their loved ones.
