In Ivano-Frankivsk, 15 entrepreneurs will receive UAH 100,000 each from the Ukrainian Red Cross to develop their businesses
The selection of winners in the microgrant competition as part of the Reboot programme has been completed in Ivano-Frankivsk. Following the evaluation by a selection committee — comprising representatives from the National Committee and the regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, the CrimeaSOS NGO, and a veteran community space — 15 entrepreneurs have been chosen to receive funding of UAH 100,000 each.
The committee reviewed 30 business plans and conducted field visits to 20 applicants to better understand their ideas and areas of activity. Priority was given to projects in the following sectors:
- beauty and personal care,
- manufacturing and woodworking (e.g. decorative items and children’s furniture),
- production of traditional Ukrainian clothing,
- development of sports clubs,
- educational spaces and service-based businesses, including launderettes.
The Reboot programme is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, with the support of the Spanish Red Cross and the Swiss Red Cross. Its aim is to help internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups find employment or start their own businesses.
The selected grant recipients will be supported throughout their journey — from implementing their business plans to receiving guidance on restoring or expanding their entrepreneurial activities. Thanks to the support of partners, local authorities, and employers, participants are being given a real opportunity to bring their ideas to life and take a confident step into the world of entrepreneurship.
