Outcomes of the Winterization 2024/2025 Project
The Luxembourg Red Cross is working in Ukraine, providing support where it is needed most. Currently, the organisation is implementing projects in five regions affected by the war: Donetsk, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv.
In collaboration with the Ukrainian Red Cross and as part of the Winterization 2024/2025 project, the Luxembourg Red Cross has procured and delivered 10 mobile water purification units for the Donetsk region and a stationary water treatment system for the only operational maternity hospital in the government-controlled part of the Donetsk region, located in Sloviansk.
Additionally, 12 mobile shelters were procured and delivered to the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. Each shelter can provide immediate protection for approximately 20 people during attacks or shelling.
Support was also provided to five social infrastructure facilities damaged by explosions, including three healthcare facilities and two educational institutions. For example, damaged windows and doors were replaced at the Dnipro Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Speech Disorders and at the Yasochka kindergarten in Sumy.
Together, we rebuild, assist, and support the people of Ukraine. We stand by those in need!
