The Ukrainian Red Cross continues evacuation efforts in Kherson

Since the evacuation was announced, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers have been helping residents of the Korabel district relocate to safer areas. Most of those evacuated are older adults and people with limited mobility.

Volunteers are also working at evacuation registration points, providing psychological first aid and, when necessary, first aid. Humanitarian aid kits and drinking water are being distributed. So far, more than 150 people have received psychological first aid, and five people have received first aid. More than 360 calls have been received and processed.

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams in the Kherson and Dnipro regions are taking part in the evacuation efforts.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, 1,411 residents — including 56 children and 141 people with limited mobility — have been evacuated from Kherson’s Korabel district over the past week.
