Mykolaiv Region: Winter Cash Assistance for Vulnerable Households

As part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Winter Cash Assistance programme, financial support was provided to 1,800 vulnerable households — especially large families — across five communities in the Mykolaiv region.

“I have a very large family — eight children. They need money for school, clothes, and food,” says Oksana, a mother of a large family. “My husband’s salary is small, but thanks to the Ukrainian Red Cross, I received 21,000 hryvnias. We spent it on firewood and utility bills. It really helps.”

The programme is implemented with the support of the British Red Cross.
