Ukrainian Red Cross Volunteers Respond to Emergency in Kharkiv

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region carried out door-to-door visits to damaged buildings and assessed the surrounding areas. They provided both first aid and psychological first aid to those affected by the incident. A Ukrainian Red Cross aid station was set up at the scene, offering victims and emergency workers a place to have tea and charge their electronic devices.

Based on the needs identified, humanitarian assistance was distributed to those affected. This included emergency kits, plastic sheeting for damaged windows, drinking water, and other essential items.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the attack on Kharkiv by Russian UAVs caused damage to civilian infrastructure in the Saltivskyi, Slobidskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city. Fourteen people were injured, including four children.
