A platform for meetings, exchange of experiences, and implementation of valuable initiatives: The Ukrainian Red Cross volunteer and youth space opened in Zaporizhzhia
A volunteer and youth space of the Voznesenivskyi district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross was opened in Zaporizhzhia within the Ukrainian Red Cross community centre. The event coincided with World Autism Awareness Day.
“The volunteer and youth space provides an opportunity to develop volunteering, engage with others, and implement projects. It is a place where everyone can find their place and connect with like-minded people,” stated Oleksandr Kravchenko, head of the Zaporizhzhia city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
As part of the event, visitors had the opportunity to participate in a symbolic activity — creating “multi-coloured palms” as a sign of support for people with autism and painting hearts to symbolise society’s care and concern for this cause.
The special guest of the event was young artist Cosmo-Max, who presented his unique exhibition of paintings. His works captivated the audience with their bright colours, deep meanings, and inspiring stories.
The opening of the space was a significant event for the city’s youth and volunteers. The new space will serve as a platform for meetings, sharing experiences, and implementing valuable initiatives aimed at helping and supporting those in need.
