The Ukrainian Red Cross Launches Active Longevity Club in Odesa
The new Active Longevity Club, which will be open to older adults every Monday at 14:00, has been launched in the Peresypskyi district of Odesa. Volunteers have already held the first session, focused on getting to know each other and assessing needs.
Participants learned strategies to overcome stress and anxiety, which helped improve their emotional well-being. Following the session, participants expressed interest in taking part in creative activities, health-strengthening events, and Nordic walking.
In March, psychoeducational sessions will also be held to help individuals learn how to cope with stress during times of uncertainty. This new space will provide older adults in Odesa with an opportunity to form a new social circle and engage in beneficial and interesting activities.
