During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, ongoing projects supported by the Swiss Red Cross, and potential areas for further cooperation.
During the conversation, Mykola Polishchuk emphasised:
“This is about compassion, humanity, and providing support to those who are suffering. We are deeply grateful to the people of your country and to your team, who risk their lives every day by staying in our country to help those affected by the war. We also appreciate the support you have provided to the Ukrainians you have sheltered in Switzerland, ensuring they have everything they need.”
It should be noted that the Swiss Red Cross supports the activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, and Kherson regions. Through this assistance, socially vulnerable people are supported, medical care is provided, and other vital humanitarian initiatives are carried out.
Representatives of the Swiss Red Cross also visited the Kyiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross to learn about its activities and areas of focus in the Kyiv region.
We are grateful to the Swiss Red Cross for its ongoing support and solidarity with Ukraine during these challenging times!
