In Lviv, the Ukrainian Red Cross “Reboot” programme team participated in the “New Start” employment forum for internally displaced Ukrainians

Representatives from the Online Service and the Lviv Service Point of the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Spanish Red Cross, attended this important event. Organised by the City Centre for the Support of Internally Displaced Persons, the forum brought together around 150 participants, including leading employers and internally displaced persons living in Lviv and seeking career opportunities. Employers spoke about their activities, working conditions, and social benefits for employees.

The Ukrainian Red Cross also took part in the panel discussion “Labour Market 2025: Questions and Answers” alongside Avrora, Blyzenko, Ukrzaliznytsia, OKKO, and representatives from the “Melitopol is Here. Lviv” Coordination Space for Assistance and the YaMariupol Centre in Lviv. The discussion covered retraining, career development, opportunities for those with no experience, as well as training and internship programmes. A key topic was the adaptation of social packages and support for internally displaced persons.

Communication with representatives from the Social Protection Department and the Human Resources Office of the Lviv City Council was crucial for our team. Collaboration with such partners will be a key step towards supporting the professional development of the programme participants.
