The Ukrainian Red Cross is supporting residents of communities in the Sumy region that were targeted by Russian attacks over the weekend

In Shostka, where a Russian drone damaged a civilian infrastructure facility on the evening of 8 February, volunteers from the Shostka local branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross joined the recovery efforts. An aid station was set up at the site of the strike, where volunteers distributed tarpaulins to temporarily repair damage to homes. They also provided hygiene kits, portable chargers, and emergency lighting kits. According to the Sumy Military Administration, no one was injured, and approximately 10 residential buildings were damaged.

Following the attack on the Sumy region on the night of 9 February, three houses in the Romny community were damaged. According to the Sumy Military Administration, there were no casualties. Volunteers from the Romny local branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross worked at the site, distributing tarpaulins and assisting residents of the damaged homes in covering broken windows and doors with waterproof tarpaulins.
