Access to hygiene services and water: the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile bath and laundry complex has been launched in the Zaporizhzhia region

Mobile bath and laundry complexes are an initiative of the Ukrainian Red Cross aimed at helping people who have lost access to basic amenities — such as water, sanitation, and hygiene. These specially equipped vehicles can reach places where infrastructure has been damaged due to hostilities or shelling. Each vehicle is fitted with showers, washing and drying machines, a generator, a water tank, and an air heater to ensure comfort and convenience.

The mobile bath and laundry complex is now operational in the Zaporizhzhia region. Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the region have set up the complex in Petrivske, a village within the Vilniansk City Council. People can use its services to take showers and wash and dry their clothes.

This project is being carried out with the support of the Austrian Red Cross.
