The Ukrainian Red Cross team continues to work alongside the first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, helping to mitigate the effects of the attack and providing essential assistance and support to both the victims and emergency workers.
Yesterday, volunteers from the Pecherskyi district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Kyiv provided hot drinks to emergency workers. In the evening, volunteers from the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross supplied hot meals and drinks to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine staff involved in responding to the attack, distributing nearly 100 meals. Volunteers were also on standby at the emergency site, ready to administer first aid if required.
Over two days, 16 Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team volunteers were involved in the operation.
