On 19th December, the National Scientific Medical Library of Ukraine in Kyiv hosted a presentation of the book “Already 80! Life on the Edge of Two Centuries” by Mykola Polishchuk, President of the Ukrainian Red Cross

This book offers a unique journey through the life of the author, who lives at the crossroads of two eras and even millennia. Mykola Polishchuk is a Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Member of Parliament of Ukraine (4th convocation), former Minister of Health, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, and current President of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

“I live in a time of change, at the turn of two centuries. In that century, I was a mathematics teacher, a doctor, a scientist, a politician, and now I am the head of Ukraine’s largest humanitarian organisation,” states Mykola Polishchuk. “I owe my success to all the teachers I have encountered throughout my life: from school and university teachers to everyone who has crossed my path and taught me to find my place in the world. This book is a summary of my life.”
