Another Attack on Mykolaiv: Efforts Underway to Mitigate the Aftermath
According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, 23 people were injured, and a woman was killed in the nighttime assault on the city. An infrastructure facility, residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged in one district, while trade pavilions and a restaurant complex sustained damage in another area. Firefighters extinguished the fires caused by the attack.
The Mykolaiv emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross worked at the attack sites alongside other specialised emergency services of the city. The volunteers provided first aid to three victims and took two injured people to hospital.
Currently, 17 employees and volunteers from the Mykolaiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross are continuing their response efforts at two locations. Humanitarian aid, including plastic sheeting, tarpaulin for temporary repairs, hygiene kits, and blankets, is being distributed to residents of damaged private homes and apartment buildings.
