Youth Leadership School Underway in Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi Region

In Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region, a youth leadership school is currently in progress. Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers are conducting YABC (Youth as Agents of Behavioural Change) sessions, which aim to foster a culture of non-violence and peace in society by enhancing internal and interpersonal skills. YABC sessions involve participants experiencing certain situations and then analysing them, so to speak, ‘from the heart to the mind’.

During recent sessions, topics covered included personal resilience, its components, and its significance for young leaders. Self-confidence was discussed as a key trait of effective leadership. Additionally, the sessions focused on developing non-violent communication skills, exploring its definition, and examining how it influences overall communication, relationships, and individual interactions.
