Another massive attack on Ukrainian cities occurred on the night of 27 August
- Zaporizhzhia.
Russian troops targeted residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Twelve multi-storey buildings and over 20 private houses were damaged. One person was killed, and two others were injured. Two crews of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region arrived at the scene within minutes of the attack. They worked together with first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The volunteers administered first aid to a woman with severe injuries and a man with moderate injuries and transported them to a medical facility.

That night, the city endured another rocket attack, which caused significant damage in the city centre. The attack resulted in the deaths of two people and injured five others. A team from the Ukrainian Red Cross, working alongside other emergency services, immediately began responding at the scene. Volunteers from the Kryvyi Rih emergency response team promptly arrived, provided first aid to the victims, and assisted with evacuating people from the damaged buildings. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of volunteers and first responders, lives were saved, and the victims received the necessary assistance, including psychological support.
