In the Odesa region, over 220 beneficiaries of the Home-Based Care programme receive social, household, and hygiene services from social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross

Among them are individuals with limited mobility, lonely elderly people, and people with disabilities who are unable to leave their homes independently. This limitation makes it challenging for them to attend important appointments such as medical check-ups and routine treatments, significantly impacting their emotional well-being.

Getting through tough times becomes easier with support and efforts to address these challenges. For instance, in Odesa, the collaborative and coordinated work between social assistants and the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team allows people with limited mobility to be transported to medical facilities in a comfortable and professional manner.

This service is available to all our clients with limited mobility.

We stand by those in need.
