In the Zaporizhzhia region, a children’s outdoor space has been opened close to IDP accommodation
“Territory of Happiness” is the name of the new outdoor space opened by the Zaporizhzhia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross for children of internally displaced persons. It is located near one of the dormitories in Novomykolaivka. Over the two months of the project’s implementation, the Ukrainian Red Cross team has created a comfortable and safe environment where children can spend time outdoors, make friends, and interact with their peers.
The main goal of the project is to support children who have either lost their homes or temporarily left them in search of a safe place due to the war. Playing on the playground, interacting with peers, and engaging in outdoor activities positively impact children’s mental health. At this time, it is crucial for every child to feel safe and experience joy and pleasure.
The project has been implemented in cooperation with the Zaporizhzhia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Hungarian Interchurch Aid (HIA), and the Novomykolaivka Village Council.
We stand by those in need!
