A Ukrainian Red Cross volunteer camp has opened in Bila Tserkva

Every summer, the Ukrainian Red Cross organises a camp for active volunteers and their children. This year, the location was a quarry in the village of Shamraivka. The forest, lake, and natural surroundings provided a calming environment for participants to relax and connect in a supportive atmosphere. On the first day, the participants:

  • got to know each other through interesting games;
  • attended an information session on International Humanitarian Law;
  • performed a pantomime illustrating the Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

In the coming days, the camp participants will engage in activities related to various areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s work, such as mine risk education, psychosocial support, and first aid. The camp was made possible with the support of the BraVo programme – branch and volunteer development of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
