The Ukrainian Red Cross has set up a safe space for mental health and psychosocial support at the Petrykiv Regional Geriatric Nursing Home

The space will become a calm and cosy environment for psychosocial support activities for nursing home residents, including internally displaced persons.
The space was established with the support of the Ternopil regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Swiss Red Cross.
The first art class for the elderly was conducted during the space’s opening. Participants were happy to participate in the event, communicate with each other, relax, and temporarily forget their problems.
The opening of the space was attended by representatives of the Ternopil regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, a representative of the Swiss Red Cross, and Yaroslav Driuchenko, a member of the Ternopil Regional Council.
We are confident that this space will serve as a welcoming and safe place for the geriatric nursing home residents.
We stand by those in need!
