The heads of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration and the Luhansk regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross met in Dnipro to sign a Memorandum and discuss areas of cooperation
The Memorandum outlines collaborative efforts in energy supply and humanitarian support for the region’s population.
Volunteers of the Luhansk regional branch assist the civilian population, hospitals, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Luhansk region. They have already delivered dozens of powerful generators and a substantial amount of humanitarian aid to the region, benefiting residents of recently de-occupied cities and villages and internally displaced persons (IDPs) who were forced to leave their homes. Moreover, there are plans to resume the operation of the Home-Based Care programme in host communities for elderly people from the Luhansk region.
Since 2014, the Luhansk regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has been a pillar of support for the frontline region. Despite the dangers and constant shelling, volunteers have continuously assisted people in the government-controlled area of Ukraine. Therefore, during the meeting, the head of the Luhansk regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Olha Kudaieva, received an award “For Contributing to the Revival of the Luhansk Region” from the head of the region.
