How the Unified Veterans Hotline Works: 0 800 505 217
The Unified Veterans Hotline has been operating in Ukraine since April this year. This unique service provides comprehensive assistance to veterans, women veterans, their families, and families of deceased soldiers. It was implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Currently, the hotline is staffed by eight professional operators who have undergone specialised training to provide convenient and accessible information about veterans’ services. They can explain rights and guarantees, address problematic issues, and more.
The most frequently asked questions cover medical issues, improving housing conditions, providing financial assistance and compensation, granting benefits, and offering legal support.
In addition to providing information, the operators of the Unified Veterans Hotline also offer psychosocial support.
There are plans to expand the staff of operators soon to provide consultations to as many of our Defenders and their families as possible.
