Caring for the environment: today, the Ukrainian Red Cross teams in different cities of the country organise environmental campaigns and clean-ups

In Kyiv, more than 60 employees of the Ukrainian Red Cross spent several hours cleaning Holosiivskyi Park and clearing the river filled with waste. In doing so, the team contributed to the protection and preservation of the environment, promoting the idea of a clean environment among the population.

In Vinnytsia, the Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross organised a clean-up in the area near its premises, opposite the Administrative Service Centre and a pharmacy. The team collected grass clippings and trimmed trees that were obstructing pedestrian and cyclist traffic.

Lviv also hosted an event that brought together the team of the Western Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Information Centre. Thanks to their joint efforts, bird feeders were installed, the area around the office was cleaned, garbage was removed, flowers were planted in flowerpots, the pavement was cleaned, and plants were watered.

In Dnipro, the Eastern Interregional Office joined efforts with a sorting and recycling facility, where various materials are repurposed. Our colleagues shredded polymeric foam, disassembled spray bottles, and sorted caps by plastic type.

Teams from Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Lyman, Druzhkivka, Dobropillia, Myrnohrad, Sloviansk, Kurakhove, as well as regional, district, city-district, and city branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross across the country also participated in the clean-up.
