Two Specially Equipped Ambulances Delivered by the Ukrainian Red Cross to Two Medical Facilities in the Kamianets-Podilskyi District of the Khmelnytskyi Region
Each vehicle will be staffed by a team of the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health unit—a doctor, a nurse, and a driver—who will travel to remote locations in the region to provide primary healthcare. This will allow people to receive timely medical services where there is limited access to them. Timely examination, disease detection, and treatment are essential for maintaining a quality and healthy life.
The main task of mobile health units is to strengthen healthcare facilities by providing qualified medical services to the local population and internally displaced persons affected by the hostilities.
The special vehicles can also be used to transport patients to specialised hospitals when necessary.
The vehicles were handed over to the Primary Healthcare Centre of the Stara Ushytsia Village Council and the Multidisciplinary Central District Hospital of the Slobidka-Kulchievetska Village Council.
The vehicles were donated by the Norwegian Red Cross, which supports the Mobile Health Units project in the Khmelnytskyi region.
