Humanitarian Aid for Border Settlements in the Sumy Region

Settlements within the 5-kilometre border zone of the Sumy region are regularly shelled. Those who are not evacuated for various reasons require the most basic necessities: food, hygiene products, and medicines. Despite the danger, volunteers of the emergency response team of the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross have been delivering aid to the residents of the Esman community for a week.

For the 363 residents of the village of Ulanove, volunteers of the Relief project prepared food parcels and emergency kits to address the needs of people living in the combat zone and in settlements experiencing power and water supply interruptions.

In the first quarter of 2024, humanitarian aid was delivered to 34 settlements within the 5-kilometre zone, benefiting a total of 4,250 people.
