Assistance in Kharkiv after the Attack on the City on May 25, 2024
Yesterday, Russia attacked civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv. The strikes destroyed a large hardware store in one of the districts and residential buildings in the city centre.
Volunteers of the emergency response team of the Kharkiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross were involved in the response efforts. They provided first aid and psychological first aid, made rounds of the damaged apartments, facilitated the evacuation of residents, and assisted emergency services despite a constant threat of repeated shelling.
